This article shows you all the required steps on how to install Potato ASOP ROM on Redmi Note 8 codename Ginkgo. Potato Android is a cool custom ROM developed with AOSP Android 9.0 Pie base. It offers vanilla Android UI just like similar AOSP-based ROM such as LineageOS.
Some additional cool features hand-picked by its developer team are the selling point of this ROM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is a new device considerably. POSP ROM is the first official aftermarket firmware for Redmi Note 8.
Its developer, through his XDA thread, confirmed that all basic functions work properly including telephony, data, wifi, camera, Bluetooth, and so on.
POSP’s key features are so tempting. It has a black UI theme to blend in nicely with Android 9.0 dark mode. The ROM also boasts Double Tap to Wake and Double Tap to Sleep which are very convenient features for some users.
Potato AOSP ROM is so far the best and stable alternative to MIUI ROM. Just in case if you need new experience with your Redmi Note 8, POSP Android is the best option.
