Redmi Note 7 Pro: MIUI 10 v10.2.8.0 Global Stable ROM (Fastboot & Recovery) 1

Xiaomi has just recently released another minor update to its official MIUI ROM, a skinned version of Android ROM made specifically for Xiaomi phones. This minor update brings a huge improvement for Redmi Note 7 Pro in terms of camera performance.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro, codename Violet, is company’s second device that boasts 48MP camera. Instead of sporting Samsung sensor, the Reno 7 Pro sports Sony IMX camera sensor with a massive 48MP resolution.

On top of that, that massive pixel size can also bind together to produce a super 12MP sensor that shots better in low light condition. Thanks to the pixel binning technology that produces more pixel size.

However, this stellar specification that exists in a mid-range device doesn’t truly perform at it bests.

Luckily, Xiaomi Developers team is aware with the situation. The responds also fast. Hence, this minor MIUI update rolls out.

Version: 10.2.8.0.PFHINXM.

It is a unique identifier coded exclusively for each release. You can understand it as below:

  1. The first letter (P) represents the Android codename in which the ROM was built from, the Android 9.0 Pie.
  2. The 2nd and 3rd letters are the code for MIUI device variants. In this case is FH which means Redmi Note 7 Pro.
  3. The 4th and 5th letters represent the type of the build: either Global or China. CN is for China while others are for Global. This build has code IN which means Global (India).

  1. A friend of mine installed this version of GLOBAL: “miui_VIOLETINGlobal_V10.2.8.0.PFHINXM_997265e49a_9.0.zip”
He says that everything is ok but there is not the “DARK MODE” in display settings…
    1) Do u think that in the next releases do u wil put in DARK MODE?
    2) Can u say me if in this global version there is the “4g 800MHZ also known as (B20)”? that i same european countries is used?
Global in REDMI NOTE 7 has this frequency

    1. Ciao Moreno
      1) dark mode Is benefit for amoled screen and note 7pro has ips. So I don’t think it will be implemented. If you want a dark model install a ne theme (change country from Italy to India and you will see a new app themes).
      2) B20 must be implemented via hardware and software. RedmiNote 7pro China and India has not such hardware. So, so even if it would be implemented in the rom via software, It will not work.

  2. hello,
Finally, I was able to install this rom on my brand new redmiNote 7Pro 6/128 china. No issues during installation at all.
Everything looks to works fine, but I found a couple of items that I’m not sure if depend on wrong ROM installation or others.
1 – Stock browser has an empty first page, no way to save something there (“squared” bookmarks).
2 – built-in speakers, so far, only the right speaker works. the left one it is always silence. Tried with mp3, youtube, games, and other audio.
3 – google keyboard isn’t reactive as my previous redmiNote 5 pro. I changed the “delay” to 150ms but it doesn’t look to have any effect.

Is someone found the same issues?? Any Idea on how to solve it?
