It is such a good news for all Xiaomi users that Redmi Note variants now support Android Camera2 API out of the box. This at least starts from Redmi Note 7 Pro. It means you no longer need to unlock its bootloader to take advantage of manual control over your phone camera.
Here we list all compatible versions of Google Camera apps ported for Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro (codename Violet) running MIUI 10 regardless which ARB index the ROM has it. We hope this helps you decide which version of a Gcam app you will use.
Google Camera app originally available within Google Pixel phones (2/2XL/3/3XL) is quite popular lately. Thanks to its advanced artificial technology made by Google that helps its users capture stunning photos effortlessly.
Gcam app sports a number of cutting edge features such as Nigh Sight, Portrait, Photo Sphere, and Enhanced HDR+ modes. The app allows taking great looking photos even on a non-flagship device.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, is not a flagship Android phone but it sports a spectacular 48MP camera sensor. Many have amazed with it. The 48MP camera is one of Reno 7 pro features that attracts attentions of its buyers.
The device, that has codename Violet, boasts Qualcomm SDM675 Snapdragon 675 (11 nm) chipset. The SoC brings on board the Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Kryo 460 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 460 Silver) CPUs and Adreno 612 GPU.
Xiaomi has equipped the device with the stock MIUI camera app. The app features many photo modes already. Thanks to its own developed AI camera, the app also supports fully manual mode. It means users can adjust ISO, shutter speed, and manual focus.
However, many users are simply amazed and captivated by the Google Camera app.
Thanks to third-party developers such as BSG, Arnova, CStark, etc., users of non-Pixel devices can now enjoy the app.
