LineageOS for Redmi Note 7 Pro is now available through its official repo. The main contributor of this build is Xdatman, a Senior member of XDA.
According to its developer, the custom ROM he built can run flawlessly on Redmi Note 7 Pro. Most features of the devices are compatible and usable properly.
The system boots; fingerprints sensor works; connectivity has no issue including Wifi, Bluetooth, and networking; camera works; multimedia functionality is fine for both audio and video; GPS/GNSS functions properly; and so on.

How to flash LineageOS
Follow steps below to install the official LineageOS ROM on Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Please be aware; flashing a custom ROM requires an unlocked bootloader. You will lose your data in the process.
A little warning:
Please create backups of your important data and files. We hold no responsibility for any damages on your phone. Please process carefully and responsibly.
Step 1. Download Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Driver zip file (miui-ADB-Driver-Installer-v1.4.3.zip) and install it on your computer. Install it on drive C: and hence you’ll have C:\adb\ folder.
Step 2. Download Android Platform Tools zip file (e.g: platform-tools_r29.0.4-windows.zip). Extract the zip file. You’ll just get a folder named “platform-tools”.
Step 3. Unlock the bootloader of your phone. Read the full guide on how to unlock MIUI bootloader officially here. Please be aware that the process will reset your phone.
Step 5. Download LineageOS ROM zip file from the link above (e.g: lineage-16.0-20190806-nightly-violet-signed.zip).
Step 6. Download the latest MIUI firmware for Redmi Note 7 Pro here (e.g: fw_violet_miui_VIOLETINGlobal_V10.3.13.0.PFHINXM_6e7dae0213_9.0.zip). Use the latest version if available.
Step 8. Download Magisk root package if you also want to root the LineageOS (e.g: Magisk-v19.4.zip). This is optional.
Step 9. Copy all the zip files to the platform-tools folder.
Step 10. Turn off your phone completely then press Power and Volume Up buttons together to reboot into TWRP recovery.
Step 11. Choose “Wipe” from the main menu then choose “Format Data“. Type “Yes” to start formatting the /data partition.
Step 12. Again, choose Wipe >> Advanced Wipe >> select /system and /cache partitions >> do the “Swipe to wipe” action. Once done, go back to the main menu of TWRP.
Step 13. Connect your Redmi Note 7 Pro to the computer using its USB cable.
Step 14. Choose “Advanced” then choose “ADB Sideload“. Do the “Swipe to start to sideload” action.
Step 15. Open the “platform-tools” folder in Windows Explorer.
Step 16. Click on an empty area in the address bar of Windows Explorer, type
cmd, then hit Enter on keyboard. This launches the Command Prompt window.
Step 17. Now type in this command and hit Enter key to execute:
adb devices adb sideload lineage-16.0-20190806-nightly-violet-signed.zip adb sideload fw_violet_miui_VIOLETINGlobal_V10.3.13.0.PFHINXM_6e7dae0213_9.0.zip adb sideload open_gapps-arm64-9.0-nano-20190209.zip
The command lines above will install LineageOS, MIUI Firmware, and Google Apps on your phone.
Step 18. You may also flash Magisk if you want (optional).
adb sideload Magisk-v19.4.zip
You have to replace the name of all zip files above if you use other versions.
Step 19. Finally, reboot your phone:
You can also choose “Reboot” menu in TWRP then choose “System“.
Step 20. Set up your phone for the first time including your Google account. Initial booting time usually takes longer than usual which is normal.
Congratulation! You have installed LineageOS on Redmi Note 7 Pro. Enjoy using the world’s most popular Android ROM.
You may encounter the following post-install issues:
“Verification failed” error. This type of issue usually appears because the vintf verification in the updater app required a patch to pass.
How to solve? The workaround is simply flashing an older version of LineageOS available here.
“Unable to download Netflix or some other app from Play Store” error. Flashing Magisk (and hence rooting) will fix this issue.
“Cannot use Widevine L1 on Netflix” error. Again, you have to flash Magisk as well.
