Hi again guys! Redmi Note 7 becomes a global hype recently especially in India, some countries in Europe and South East Asia. This is not without a reason.
First, the device boasts a massive 48MP camera sensor. Second, it has very sleek and cool design. Third, you name it!
The Redmi Note 7 is just a cool device. On top of that, it is available at a very affordable price tag. No wonder it brings huge sales in India.
The Reno 7 codename Lavender is also available globally. Many Mi Fans in Spain also love the coming of Reno 7. Yet, there are also many fans eagerly waiting for the coming of its Pro variant.
For you who accidentally, or may I say it “luckily”, own the device on hands, there is a good news for you.
Xiaomi has recently rolled out the minor updated version of its MIUI ROM. You may have notice it directly from the pushed notification.
Obviously, you can simply hit that “Update” button to grab the Over The Air (OTA) update package. Thus, you can automatically apply the new update.
Alternatively, you can also grab its full ROM package either Fastboot or Recovery build.
We believe that you will need this in the future, some when and somehow.
For instance, flashing the full MIUI ROM allows you to do a clean install. It is also useful to unbrick your device through full Fastboot ROM flashing.
Some users also need it to switch from other MIUI ROM, China build or Beta/Developer build.
Another use case scenario is coming back to MIUI from a custom ROM. You might have adventurous soul and a brave heart. Hence, you might have done some trial attempts running custom ROMs: LineageOS, Pixel Experience, Havoc OS, etc.
There will always a time for you to miss the stock MIUI ROM. At that point, you will need to have the MIUI Fastboot ROM.
What’s new within this version?
The MIUI Developers team has managed to optimize overall system fluency. Additionally, the team has also optimized system stability and improved it.
There is no new Android security patch but you may still need it. Why? Obviously to avoid lagging during your experience using the device.

This update is a Global Stable ROM despite being released specifically for all users around the world (outside China).
What does the version code mean? It is a unique identifier coded exclusively for each release. You can understand it as below:
- The first letter (P) represents the Android codename in which the ROM was built from, the Android 9.0 Pie.
- The 2nd and 3rd letters are the code for MIUI device variants. In this case is FG which means Redmi Note 7 Lavender. The Pro version (Violet) has code FH.
- The 4th and 5th letters represent the type of the build: either Global or China. CN is for China while others are for Global. This build has code MI which means Global.
- The 6th and 7th are just a unique code for the release.
