The hype of MIUI 11 is still around us. The long-awaited upgrade of Xiaomi’s Android OS skin finally arrives. MIUI is now getting a major upgrade through its version 11 although currently is available as a Beta version for select devices.
A bunch of cool new features is coming to the MIUI 11 such as AOD (Always-On Display), dynamic sounds inspired by nature, and so on.
Many of Mi fans are just too eager to adopt the MIUI 11 as soon as possible. However, the fact that MIUI 11 is still available as China Beta makes some users think twice.
The inexistence of Google Apps including Play Store is one of the reasons for some users to hold back their desire.
Luckily, Xiaomi.eu project manages to port the readily available versions of MIUI 11 China ROM. The results are exceptional.
About Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11
Xiaomi.eu is a popular third-party project to port MIUI China ROMs to its own Xiaomi.eu builds. Xiaomi.eu MIUI ROMs boast additional key features most wanted by global MIUI fans especially those live in Europe.
The addition of more international languages and Google Apps are the main attractive points of Xiaomi.eu ROM. The official MIUI China ROMs do not ship with such features.
The MIUI base employed in the Xiaomi.eu ROM helps it keeping the looks and feels of MIUI. Hence, users can still enjoy MIUI experience on their Xiaomi devices while avoiding some flaws of MIUI China ROM.
Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 also comes with all MIUI 11 features. Moreover, the Xiaomi.eu edition debloats all unnecessary Chinese apps along with removed in-device ads.

Download Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 for Redmi Note 5
You can download the flash-able zip file of Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 ROM for Redmi Note 5 Pro/Global/Ai codename Whyred. Please do not flash it on Redmi Note 5 India which is basically Redmi 5 Plus.
We currently list the Weekly build since the Stable one is not available just yet. We’ll update the article once released.

How to Flash Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 on Redmi Note 5 Pro
Flashing Xiaomi.eu ROM is just like flashing any other custom ROM despite its base is still MIUI. Follow the steps below.

Please create backups of your important data and files. We hold no responsibility for any damages on your phone. Please process carefully and responsibly.
P.s: We simply use “Redmi Note 5” in this article. This term refers to all variants of Whyred including the Pro, China, Global, or AI variant.
Step 1. Download Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Driver zip file (miui-ADB-Driver-Installer-v1.4.3.zip) and install it on your computer. Install it on drive C: and hence you’ll have C:\adb\ folder.
Step 2. Download Android Platform Tools zip file (e.g: platform-tools_r29.0.4-windows.zip). Extract the zip file. You’ll just get a folder named “platform-tools”.
Step 3. Unlock the bootloader of your phone. Read the full guide on how to unlock MIUI bootloader officially here. Please be aware that the process will reset your phone.
Step 5. Download Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 ROM zip file from the link above (e.g: xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote5Pro_9.9.26_v11-9.zip).
Step 6. Copy the downloaded Xiaomi.eu ROM zip. There are 3 ways to do it. You choose which one is easiest for you.
- Downloading the zip file directly to your phone. You can do this through your mobile web browser.
- Use USB data cable and transfer the zip file normally like you usually do through Windows Explorer.
- Or, use USB data cable and transfer the zip files through the Fastboot interface using the command below:
adb push xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote5Pro_9.9.26_v11-9.zip /tmp/
Replace xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote5Pro_9.9.26_v11-9.zip in the command above with the corresponding file name.
Step 7. Now turn off your phone completely. Once it’s off, press the Power button and Volume Up button simultaneously. This will reboot your phone to recovery mode entering TWRP.
Step 8. You may need to do “Swipe to allow system modification” action. If this is your first time entering TWRP.
Step 9. Form the main menu, choose “Wipe” then “Format Data“. Proceed accordingly.
Do not enter Advanced Wipe and do not wipe anything other than formatting /data partition.
Step 10. Once done, go back to the main menu and select “Install“.
Step 11. Now locate the Xiaomi.eu ROM zip file that you copied earlier. Tap on its file name to select it.
Step 12. Do the “Swipe to confirm flash” action.
Step 13. Wait for the recovery to flash the ROM zip file. Once done, reboot your phone by going to “Reboot” then choose “System“.
That’s all and congratulation! You have flashed Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 on Redmi Note 5 successfully.
From here, you can simply set up your Google Account as usual. Please remember that the initial booting time may take longer than usual.
