Hello, fellow MIUIers! Here we list all compatible versions of Google Camera apps ported for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro/Global/China running either MIUI 9 or MIUI 10 regardless which ARB index the ROM has it. We hope this helps you decide which version of a Gcam app you will use.
There are so many versions of ported Google Camera. However, not all of them works on all devices. Some are modded to suit a specific device variant while others are built to work on any devices.
Google Camera is well known for its picture quality. The app sports many advanced features developed by Google. Yeah, that Google! The one who develops the Android mobile operating system.
The app features advanced HDR+, Slowmo videos, Panorama, Photosphere, Lens Blur, and the popular Portrait mode. The photos taken with the app’s HDR+Enhanced mode are super awesome. Moreover, its Portrait mode is capable of taking a crispy bokeh-ish effect on a single camera. The camera eliminates the need for dual-camera.
Obviously, this overwhelms anyone. Not to mention how dope its Lens Blur effect.
Redmi Note 5 codename whyred is already a good smartphone for mobile photography fans. However, there is none so far to excel in the HDR+ mode available in the Google Camera app.

Google Camera APK
There are so many versions and variations of the modded Gcam on the Internet. There were only two well-known developers who have managed to port Gcam for other devices: the Arnova8G2 and BSG. Lately, there are more and more modders who have managed to also port the app. This, on the one hand, is good but this also makes a confusing situation for the users on the other hand.
Users need to browse around the Internet and find what other users have used and how was the result: whether it works flawlessly or with some expected bugs.
Below we list only all versions known to be compatible with Redmi Note 5 Whyred.
Tested by our team:
Tested by us on our device running MIUI 10 Global Stable. Ported by Arnova8G2, it works nicely and it requires no advanced configuration.
Tested by other users:

Shared by ShaanSubbaiahBC. Made by Arnova8G2, this Gcam v5.3 has Google Lens, Portrait mode, Lens Blur, and Panorama feature fully working.
Tested by RSubha. This version requires no additional settings.
Tested by Xliked. This is the version 8.3 beta 1 of Arnova8G2 creation which is based on Google Camera v5.1.018. However, in order to make the 240fps slow-motion video recording work, you have to install the Google Cam Patch below:
The one below has been tested by rocknegi. Ported by BSG from Google Pixel 3, the one available below sports Night Sight feature already. It can capture decent pictures even on a dark lighting condition. It works on Android 8.x Oreo but it will run flawlessly on Android 9.x Pie.
Flash the zip file through TWRP custom recovery.

UPDATE: GCAM V6.2.030 for Redmi Note 5 MIUI 10 Android 9.0 Pie:
Bulkin has rolled out ported Gcam v6.2.030 that is compatible to run on Redmi Note 5. This build has been tested by YoSoyYoMismo. He suggests specific settings to gain optimal performance. Try enabling Esdzman libs 2.5 and use HDR+ enhanced on both front and back camera.
One drawback of this build is the laggy performance of viewfinder on the front camera. Any other things should work with no major complaint (tested on 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM).
There is another version 6.2 that seems working just fine. This build has been tested by Prlanbrate.
UPDATE: GCAM V6.3.017 for Redmi Note 5 MIUI 10 Android 9.0 Pie:
This latest one is also tested by Prlanbrate. Credits to him.
This build below is ported by Bulkin and was tested by us. It works just fine. Most of its essential features work as expected.
