Redmi K30 (codename phoenix) and POCO X2 (codename phoneixin) are the same devices in terms of hardware specifications. Both sport Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G chipset planted under the hood.
Redmi K30 is the original variant announced being available first in China and other countries soon. Poco X2, on the other hand, is available exclusively for India markets.
Poco X2 is the first smartphone of Pocophone once it becomes an independent brand under Xiaomi’s umbrella.
Redmi K30 was first released running MIUI 11 China Stable ROM which is based on Android 10.0 Q. Poco X2 runs MIUI 11 India Stable ROM obviously.
The good news is,… you can now have Xiaomi.eu ROM to run on your either Redmi K30 or Poco X2.
Xiaomi.eu provides a better alternative for those who feel disappointed by the official MIUI ROM.
MIUI is an awesome skinned version of Android OS; developer and customized by the team behind Xiaomi.
Unluckily, MIUI is notorious for its bloated system and unwanted advertisements.
We cannot arguably refute that statement but really love MIUI.
There is where Xiaomi.eu comes in!
Xiaomi.eu is basically a custom ROM. Instead of coming with its own unique UI (user interface), the ROM simply make MIUI perfect.
Once installed, you can enjoy an ads-free and bloatware-free experience in using your Xiaomi Mi, Redmi, or Redmi Note phone.
Redmi K30 and Poco X2 are just other lucky phones to receive Xiaomi.eu builds.
Similar to the official stock MIUI ROM, Xiaomi.eu’s are also available in two variants: Stable and Weekly builds.
The Stable build has no exact release schedule but it offers the most stable system.
The Weekly build is released more often. It may not the most stable and perfect but it usually comes with new features not available within its Stable build.
