Xiaomi’s latest creation has made people around the globe drooling for its awesomeness. It’s not just all about key specification but also about its price tag. Yup, we are talking about Redmi K20 Pro which is globally known as Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.

Its release is not a solo introduction. The Pro version also comes with its younger brother which is the standard version: Redmi K20 a.k.a Mi 9T.

Both Redmi K20 and Mi 9T is not two devices with identical specifications. Instead, it is the same device with different naming. Both also have codename Davinci.

Mi 9T boasts Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 (8 nm finfet technology) chipset. This SoC comes equipped with Octa-core CPUs consisting of 2x 2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold CPUs and 6x 1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver CPUs.

Those monster-ish processors have a powerful sidekick known as Adreno 618. This sidekick provides enough processing power to process and deliver stunning graphics. Gamers and movie lovers will love it.

Mi Fans live in Europe know this device as Xiaomi Mi 9T. However, those live in Xiaomi’s hometown rather call it Redmi K20.

Xiaomi developer team has rolled out newer MIUI version for Mi 9T. This update is a minor one. Despite not bringing in newer security patch, MIUI v10.3.6.0 brings optimized system performance and improved security feature.

On top of that, you can expect your Mi 9T to be more stable than before.

You should get notification of this new MIUI update in your phone. It is easier to update the phone to latest MIUI version using Over The Air mechanism.

Nevertheless, you may still need to have the full MIUI ROM package for certain conditions such as doing a factory reset, a clean install, of updating on a phone with no stock Mi Recovery.

  3. The 4th and 5th letters represent the type of the build: either Global or China. CN is for China while others are for Global. This build has code MI which means Global (International).
  4. The 6th and 7th are just a unique code for the release.
