Important Note:

All the above files are Xiaomi.eu ROM for Redmi 8. Please don’t get confused with Redmi 8A since both devices are different.

Flashing the zip file on devices other than Redmi 8 will obviously make them bricked.

How to Install:

First, you’ll need to get your bootloader unlocked. Follow our previous guide here.

Second, install TWRP recovery on your Redmi 8. You can use either the official version or the unofficial one.

Next, boot into TWRP recovery. How to do this? You’ll need to fully switch off the phone. Once it’s off, press the Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously. You’ll enter the recovery mode then.

Choose [Wipe] then choose [Format Data].

Type Yes then tap on the Enter button on the keypad.

Once done, connect the phone to your PC then transfer the Xiaomi.eu zip file to your phone.

Now, go back to the main menu then choose [Install].

Locate the Xiaomi.eu zip file, tap on it to select it.

Do the “Swipe to flash” action.

Wait till the process finished.

Choose [Reboot] then choose [System].

The initial booting time usually takes time. Hang on it.

Voila! You’ve installed Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 on Redmi 8. You don’t need to flash Gapps since the ROM already has it by default.

Optionally, you can also flash Magisk. Once flashed, you’ll get your Redmi 8 rooted.

p.s: Make sure you came from the official MIUI ROM. If you were on a custom ROM (Lineage, Pixel Experience, etc.), go back to the official MIUI ROM first.
