Redmi 6A MIUI ROM - All Builds 1

This is the index page to download MIUI ROM files for Xiaomi Redmi 6A codename Cactus. Redmi 6A is one of the company’s entry-level Android phone. It is budget-friendly and it has a great price-per-performance ratio.

Speaking of performance, Redmi 6A is more than capable to run day-to-day general telephony tasks. Thanks to the Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset which is fabricated using 12 nm finfet technology.

The MTK SoC boasts Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPUs and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. These alone are so tempting considering its aggressive pricing.

Redmi 6A is the stripped-down version of Redmi 6 (cereus) and Redmi 6 Pro (Sakura). Please confuse not.

Redmi 6A comes running MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo by default. However, the company projects the device to receive Android 9.0 Pie update in the future.

Nevertheless, being a cheap smartphone doesn’t mean being neglected by its manufacturer. Xiaomi is committed to delivering a regular update to the software running on all of its ever released smartphone, including the Redmi 6A.

Xiaomi releases its software update in two ways: Over The Air (OTA) update and through download-able full ROM pack.

MIUI OTA update becomes useless if users have replaced Mi Stock recovery with a custom one. There are some forks of TWRP that already supports MIUI OTA flashing. However, the method of reviving MIUI OTA update still needs a full MIUI ROM pack for its initial settings.

Hence, there is always a situation where you need to download the full pack of MIUI ROM and not the incremental update.
