Pixel Experience 9.0 AOSP & CAF ROM for Poco F1

Pixel Experience 9.0 AOSP & CAF ROM for Poco F1 1

Finally, the Dev Team behind Pixel Experience ROM has rolled out the CAF based build. It means that now you can choose whether to flash the one based on AOSP or CAF. What’s the difference? Well, let’s talk about it a little bit.

AOSP stands for Android Open Source Project. It is the purest form of Android as a mobile operating system. AOSP codes released by Google are Open Source in nature and hence anyone can create ports from. AOSP is basically compatible with most of devices regardless what chipset it is running on.

On the other hand, CAF stands for Code Aurora Forum. It is the place of where Qualcomm, as a company, releases the official Kernel source code, framework branches, HALs, and many other technical things made special for the Snapdragon chipset.

It means if you choose AOSP-based ROM, you can expect general system stability and regular security update from Google. Choosing CAF-based ROM means that you may expect better system-to-hardware compatibility. This translate to better performance while maintaining a stable system.
