TWRP for Mi 9 Lite (CC9): Download Links & Install Guide 1

Mi CC9 is the standard version of its Pro series. It is basically the same device as Mi 9 Lite except it is released for China market. Both ship the same hardware specifications including the Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 (10 nm) chipset, Octa-core CPUs (2x 2.2GHz Kryo 360 Gold & 6x 1.7GHz Kryo 360 Silver), and Adreno 616 GPU.

While not being a flagship phone, Mi 9 Lite is a near-to-flagship device. It is not a mid-range device either. The Snapdragon 710 is more than capable of playing almost any kind of mobile games including the PUBG Mobile.

However, such a great little monster-ish device will be not in its true potential if not unlocked. Once the bootloader is unlocked, flashing a custom recovery makes it just a step away to the greatness.

Listed in this page are the compatible versions of TWRP custom recovery for Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite a.k.a Mi CC9.

TWRP is a popular recovery to replace the stock one. It boasts more advanced features compared to the Mi recovery coming on every Xiaomi and Redmi phone by default.

Once flashed, you can then flash almost anything through it. It will be easy to gain root access as well.

Now you’ve installed TWRP on your phone. Another thing you may (or may not) need to do is rooting your Mi 9 Lite (CC9). Follow these additional steps:

Step 1 – Copy Magisk zip file and DM-Verity Disabler zip file to your phone. You can do this directly via Windows Explorer. Make sure the phone is still connected.

Can’t do that? You may need to enable MTP in TWRP. Otherwise, use this command:

adb push Magisk-v20.2.zip /tmp/
adb push Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.27.2019.zip /tmp/

Step 2 – Choose [Install] on the main menu.
