Good news for all the owners of Xiaomi Mi A2. The phone with codename Jasmine is now getting the first Android 10.0 Q update through its Android One version 220.127.116.11. This the official update! Thanks to Xiaomi and Google for that.
Just a refresh, Xiaomi Mi A2 is the second successor of Android One device, a project by Google and Xiaomi. Just to recall a little bit, Android One is a project offering a near-stock version of Android operating system.
It is the official project by Google and several phones manufacturer including Xiaomi. All the interfaces and mobile ecosystem are managed by Google directly. Phone manufacturers, on the other hand, are in charge of manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
Xiaomi Mi A2 was first released running Android 8.1 Oreo in July 2018. In the Q4 of 2018, the phone received Android 9.0 Pie update.
Today, the first Android 10.0 Q update lands on the Mi A2.
This release ships with all the awesomeness of Android 10. It is a stable ROM. You should find no major issues or bugs in this release. The case by case scenario will be different tho depending on what third-party apps, tweaks, and mods are installed.
This new update shall appear on your phone notification as OTA (Over The Air). Alternatively, you can also download its full update package from the link below and sideload it to your phone.
The file is available directly from Xiaomi’s server(s) as a direct link. We make no modifications to the original file.
Please do note! This Android One update package is for Mi A2 codename Jasmine. Do not install it on Mi A1, Mi A2 Lite, or Mi A3.

As you can see from the screenshot pics above, the Android 10 for Mi A2 ships with the latest December 2019 security patch. Updating your phone will make it secure.
Despite updating the official ROM is a safe process, we still recommend you to backup your data. It is a good habit to do so.
