Ever since Google started introducing dark mode on some of its apps, its adoption becomes more massive. Many users are getting bored with the default light mode dominated by a mostly white background. The dark mode is really a game-changer. Once activated, its views are easy and gentle on eyes.
Originally, system-wide dark mode is available exclusively on Android 9.0 Pie and its successor the Android 10 also inherits this feature obviously. That said, users run any Android ROM based on 8.1 Oreo, 7.1 Nougat, 6.x Marshmallow, and 5.x Lollipop are left with no option to enable this feature.
Xiaomi’s own skinned version of Android OS, the MIUI, comes with a pack of key features ready to impress its users. One of them is the theming feature.
There are many ready-to-use MIUI themes that users can install to change the default looks and feels of the user interface (UI). Need that dark mode? Well, there are many themes come with dark style.
Nevertheless, changing themes sometimes is not so handy for some users. It’s not only the main colours of the theme that change but also the overall styles and designs will change.
Check out these awesome MIUI 11 themes:
- Procelian: an elegant dark-red MIUI 11 theme.
- Whiter Dark v2: an MIUI 11 theme with dark mode.
- iOS 14: an iPhone 11 MIUI 11 theme with dark mode.
What if you want to use the dark mode on currently stock MIUI 11 theme? If the current MIUI version is based on Android 9.0 Pie or 10.0 Q, you can enable it through the Settings.
